I am passionate about education, new technologies, outdoor education & kayaking.
I graduated from Bournemouth University with a first class honours BSc degree in Forensic Computing and Security. In my 3rd year I completed a year long placement in industry at GlaxoSmithKline.
During my last year at University I worked for The Professional Fundraiser, designing and implementing their first CMS, before moving onto Teacher Training at Bedford University.
I currently teach GCSE and A Level Computer Science, and I am Lead Practitioner for Blended Learning. I also help support other schools in the area as a Specialist Leader for Education and Google Certified Trainer.
In my spare time I'm busy in the outdoors; climbing, hiking and kayaking, or keeping my software developing skills up to scratch with some interesting projects!

From September 2015 to July 2016, I completed a Secondary Computing PGCE course at Bedford University supported by a scholarship from the BCS (British Computer Society).

Google Certified Education Trainer from January 2020. Responsible for project managing and leading a 1:1 Chromebook program for 1000 students across 18 months, with project costs over £300k.
Currently experimenting with a self-run freelance business (alongside my day-job) specialising in I.T. consultancy, software development, photography, videography and blended learning. Working with one long term client, and one regular repeating client, as well as supporting my current place of work with their digital needs on a pro bono basis.

Created and developed a purpose built content management system (in C#/ASP.net) now valued at over £500k, to record supporter details, run a welcome call program and support venue organisation. I also provided IT support to over 12 staff, solely overseeing the IT systems for the whole company.
Helped organise the deployment of servers, firewalls and networking equipment to 24 factories in 15 countries across the world to allow systems to put unique serial numbers onto drug packets. International travel to factories in Poland and Italy for meetings.
Recently elected to the governing board of an expanding two form entry primary school with 381 children currently on roll.
Various roles over a number of years including Scout Leader, Assistant District Commissioner for PR and a County Unit Leader for an International World Scout Jamboree in 2019 to America.
Volunteered in a call centre on BBC Children in Need night with the responsibility of assistant call centre manager for 5 years.

Computer Science teacher for Secondary. Currently teaching AQA GCSE Computer Science and AQA A Level Computer Science. We also deliver 3 hours of Computing to KS3 per fortnight covering topics including CyberSecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Game Design.
